Concept
The seed for Park 20|20 was sown in 2010, when the theme sustainability was often no more than a paragraph in a business plan. A Cradle to Cradle business park? Back then it was no more than a theoretical idea. Park 20|20 realised this vision and that is a unique achievement.
Disruption demands courage and tenacity, for perceiving opportunities and taking uncharted routes. That is more than a noble ambition, because Park 20|20 has already demonstrated itself as an innovative business park that puts people first. Sustainable and future-proof. A healthy environment where people like to be and, as a result, economic success is stimulated.
Park 20|20 is the first Cradle-to-Cradle optimised working environment in the world. Built from the idea that waste does not exist and run with renewable sources of energy. The result is a healthy, attractive working environment with lots of planting and water.
Nothing is forever and that applies to commercial buildings too. That’s why all the buildings in Park 20|20 have been designed in such a way that they can be disassembled after use. Materials then retain their value and can be deployed again. Design for Disassembly is an essential link in the realisation of a circular economy.
Nature is circular by nature: everything is reused. This gave the inspiration for the construction and layout of Park 20|20. Raw materials were selected based on their ecological footprint. Park 20|20 accommodates the largest collection of Cradle-to-Cradle Certified™ materials in the world. Organic materials that can be reused as a raw material, technical materials that are suitable for upcycling.
Park 20|20 is centered around the well-being of people. This requires an eye for ergonomics and a comprehensive approach to the layout of the park. With high-end facillities, the inviting environment and nature literally being given space. Toil and relaxation go hand in hand here.
